While Chicago is known for some of the most influential artists in the music industry, there’s a multitude of rising artists that’s not far from securing that notoriety — JONATHAN STEWART is most definitely one of them. Starting his rap career over 10 years ago, the 28-year-old artist has been destined for nothing short of greatness and he’s proven himself over and over through the years that he’s one of the chosen few.

Today, JONATHAN felt compelled to bring forth some much needed bars addressing society’s current issues in the only way that he knows how — raw and unfiltered. His brand new record “Rattatattattattat” is a sleeper that will be sure to wake up anyone who’s been sleeping.

If you’re not familiar with JONATHAN STEWART, there couldn’t be a more perfect time to get acquainted with him than now. From his stand-out records “Make Rappers Rap Again,” “The Matrix,” “F.Y.E. (For Your Entertainment)” and more, his versatility with the pen and inside the booth is rare in this flux of upcoming artists.

“Rattatattattattat” was influenced by Dave Chappelle’s surprise Youtube special “8:46” and he perfectly executed as he shamelessly rips the soulful, yet gritty instrumental into pieces.

Over the 9 minute record, JONATHAN spits ether for a little under three minutes while Kimberly Jones spits nothing eye-opening facts for the remaining six minutes. He specifically described this record as something that “the people need” and it is, indeed.

The Billionaire Minds Build Brands Records founder is out for blood these days and you can vividly see it through his tenacity on wax. Speaking with JONATHAN yesterday (Aug 4), this is what he had to say in regards to moving forward:

“I killed a lot of niggas with the wear and tear fashion line eliminating all the jiggy talk from here on out! If you ain’t sayin shit then yeah……you dead from now on. From bar A to bar Z you’ll be judged. Niggas ain’t ready……”

“Rattatattattattat” will be featured on his upcoming EP Heir To The Throne dropping soon (artwork below). As Spitta once said, “The ones who sleeping on it don’t deserve it!” With that being said, tap into to JONATHAN’s new record below and you’ll see why he will be coined one of the greatest at some point in the future.
