Next month, Machine Gun Kelly will release his fifth studio LP Tickets To My Downfall, a collaboration with rock veteran Travis Barker that will see the Cleveland emcee diving into more experimental territory than past efforts. For his latest, he reveals a visual for “concert for aliens,” which sees him seemingly singing about a second youth of sorts and the immaturities that come with it:

“I’m upside down, I’m upside down, I’m upside down, my life is a roller coaster, roller coaster, get me off this roller coaster/

I heard you never graduated from high school, the food sucked and the kids were awful, I know you wanted me to go to law school/

I dyed my hair, pierced my nostril, I know I’ve done this before, but it’s a mind eraser, I’m waking up on the floor, I gotta get my life back later.../”

The accompanying visual comes currently of fellow artist Mod Sun and depicts a wacky game show of sorts, with aliens as the apparent studio audience. Viewers also get to see tortured clowns and variations of MGK himself, including as the host of said show. Both MGK and Barker are also see performing the track on a makeshift pirate ship with their respective instruments. In related news, the video was also apparently delayed because, as MGK revealed on social media, it was inadvertently not safe for work:

“My balls peeked through the nurse’s gown outfit so we couldn’t put out the video because my balls would be all over the video.”

“concert for aliens” follows “bloody valentine,” “Bullets with Names,” and other releases that may not land on the aforementioned album. Prior to that, MGK delivered 2019’s Hotel Diablo, which also delved into rap, rock, and other genres.

Fans can press play on “concert for aliens” — along with another single from the project titled “my ex’s best friend” — below.
