As far as the current Bad Boy roster is concerned, Machine Gun Kelly is definitely one of the most active. Last year, he liberated his fourth studio LP Hotel Diablo, which scored him a top 5 spot on the Billboard 200 during it’s first week of release. The project contained 14 tracks and appearances from Naomi Wild, Lil Skies, Trippie Redd and more. The last track of Hotel Diablo — the Travis Barker and Yungblud-assisted “I Think I’m OKAY” — turned out to set the stage for his more experimental fifth offering Tickets To My Downfall, which is expected to make landfall this year. There’s also his highly-publicized hip hop beef with Eminem, which proved without a doubt that, no matter how far from center he goes musically, he’ll always be a true student of our culture.

Presumably passing the time in quarantine, MGK has decided to bless his fans with a new freestyle. This time, he delivers some fiery bars over Jack Harlow’s “What’s Poppin”:

Long beards but the squad’s not Amish, just bosses, dropouts and convicts/

Wallets bigger than Chris Wallace, dead presidents inside, it’s haunted/

Yellow tape where I’m from, stay cautious, made mixtapes wearin’ shirts with the horses/

It’s been a minute since I gave a f*** about a critic’s, opinion but they keep on forgettin’ where the bars went/

MGK’s “What’s Poppin” freestyle follows his latest single “Bullets With Names,” which features assistance from Young Thug, RJMrLA, and Lil Duke. That track is expected to appear on Tickets To My Downfall, which will also see the genre-bending single “Why Are You Here.” He’s also continuing to progress in his music career — following last year’s Mötley Crüe biopic The Dirt, the rapper — real name Colson Baker — will appear in the films The King of Staten Island and a yet-to-be-titled sci-fi flick alongside Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Jamie Foxx, and more.

Check out “What’s Poppin” below, along with — if you missed it — another recent single release titled “Misery Business.” Tickets To My Downfall is hopefully arriving soon.
