Back in November, Nottingham duo Young T and Bugsey broke into commercial success with their single “Don’t Rush,” which featured assistance from London star Headie One and brought together mixes together hip hop and Nigerian vibes to make for an infectious, dance floor ready cut to enjoy:

“Don’t rush, slow touch Brown and white, like I go cunch, grab and buy, make ‘em go bust/

Eye for eye, make ‘em lose trust, white rum, fizzy pop/

Where you dey go? We dey go up, catch my vibe, let me go off/

Blammed her twice, man it’s so tough.../”

The song eventually caught fire around the world thanks to the social media app Tik Tok, spawning a “#DontRushChallenge” that saw hundreds of thousands of people glamming it up for the camera. The original creator, a 20-year-old University of Hull student named Toluwalase Asolo, revealed to Teen Vogue that she made the clip with her friends while in quarantine as a way to “highlight the togetherness in isolation.”

Now, “Don’t Rush” sees a new remix that sees an appearance from DaBaby, who flexes over the genre-bending cut with ease:

“Don’t rush, take your time with it, I pull up Lamborghini with the dime in it/

She say I’m a super pretty, yeah, a chocolate fine n***a, and I ain’t runnin’ from those n***as if it’s not n***as/

You gotta show me somethin’, I made her bring that p***y back, it’s like she owe me somethin’/

I met her, she was twenty-four, I’m talkin’ Kobe number, I bought a rim, I’m in that p***y, tryna score me somethin’/”

Press play on the Grades-produced “Don’t Rush” below. Also added is Young T and Bugsey’s March debut Plead The 5th, which — in addition to their big single — also saw 11 other dope cuts with appearances from Aitch, Morrisson, and Fredo.
