Despite her frequent dances with controversy, hip hop and true music fans alike are more than familiar with Azealia Banks’ abilities behind the microphone. This week, she reminds us of her talents via her new single “Black Madonna,” a collaboration with hip hop veteran producer Lex Luger that sees Banks delivering some of her grittiest, potent bars yet:

“F*** what you heard about me, cold killer, Hillary Rodham with the murder count, she ain’t no BM, no n***a bottom b***h workin’ a route for cheese/

I’ll catch ya, cook ya, then murk ya, cold pistol wop ya then dirt ya, clean you safe like detergent, they lurkin’, I put that work in/

Cook it up then I serve ‘em, then shake the spot like I’m twerkin´, rider provider, hot box the chopper, jealous n***as keep talking my stock up/

Just send a drop, big big bazookas be scorching your block up, I make it hot up in this b***h, you want hell you can find it, big black Madonna.../”

“Black Madonna” follows a slew of loose cuts from the New York City artist, including “1-800-NU-CHECKS,” the Onyx-assisted “Salchichón,” and “Slow Hands.” The aforementioned cuts are also expected to appear on Azealia’s forthcoming album Business & Pleasure, which see revealed was on the way last March:

In related news, Azealia Banks recently called out music executive Jeff Kwatinetz for holding on to her money and dropping her because she speaks out against the very subject that’s led to the nation’s increasing protests. She also reached out to Kwatinetz’s business partner Ice Cube for assistance on social media:

“@icecube Can you please ask Jeff Kwatinetz to release my royalties? It’s been six years and he stole ALL OF MY MONEY on an album interscope/polydore paid to produce. This white man robbed me and dropped me in the middle of shooting a movie because he felt I was being too vocal about police brutality.”
