Earlier this month, Young Dolph took a slight detour from his usual vibe to address the current Coronavirus pandemic and how it’s affecting him on the track “Sunshine.” Now, he’s back to the streets and the money on his new single “RNB,” which features Megan Thee Stallion and sees production from legendary producer Juicy J and Sosa 808. The chorus of the track further explains the titles meaning:

“Drive my Lambo’ like a Chevy on some rich n***a s***, you can’t talk to my girl, she a rich n***a b***h/

Told the teacher I was gon’ be on the rich n***a list, black ass n***a, quarter mil’ on his wrist/

Black ass n***a with a bad ass b***h, I went got the bag and now everything lit/

I went got the bag and now everything lit, I went all the way through hell and back to get to this…/”

The track also comes with a dope visualizer that sees some animated eye candy traversing through all aspects of a rapper’s wealth. Hopefully, a real video for “RNB” is on the horizon.

Last year, Young Dolph teamed up with his Paper Route Empire artist and fellow Memphis emcee Key Glock for the collaborative release Dum and Dummer, which earned the duo a top ten spot on the Billboard 200 with 36,000 album equivalent units sold during its first week of release. Dolph’s last solo effort, Role Model, was released back in 2018 and saw additional appearances from Glock, Snoop Dogg, Offset, Kash Doll, and more.

Speaking to GQ, Dolph revealed how the current quarantine has allowed him to spend more time with his family:

“We be working every day, bro, especially when you running a business and s***’s successful and you real big… You lose track of…not real life, but the people that really love you. It becomes a distanced thing because you give that job all of your time. Especially with me being me, having to run a record label, not just rap and turn music in—like nah, I gotta come up with budgets, I gotta come up with goddamn marketing s***, I gotta come up with my promos. That s*** get all your time. So times like this where it’s like, s***, okay, now the world’s shut down, so what you gonna do?”
