Last Friday saw Lil Durk releasing his latest project Just Cause Y’all Waited 2, which is currently set to make between 45 to 50 thousand equivalent album units its first week. This week, he drops off a new visual for the track “Doin Too Much,” which is produced by Roselilah and JW Lucas and focuses on living life to the extreme:

“I can’t deny what I did with the b***h, Maison Margielas, I got it from Kith/

Different type n***as, they say that I’m different, fresh out a shootout, they hop in a Lyft/

Police came back when I went in the crib, ain’t no denying, I know what I did/

She can’t deny what she did for the wig, call for a b***h just to swallow my kids…/”

The accompanying visual comes courtesy of go-to director Jerry Production and matches the subject matter by showcasing an iced-out Durk, complete with high-end threads and a blacked out Lamborghini Urus. If you wondered how the Chicago star was doing financially, this could be considered his definitive response.

Just Cause Y’all Waited 2 follows its 2018 predecessor and symbol of Durk’s freedom from his former label Def Jam, and boasts 15 new tracks and additional appearances from G Herbo, Gunna, Lil Baby, and Polo G. Previously, he released last year’s Love Songs 4 The Streets 2, which peaked at number four on the Billboard 200 and saw assists from A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, Nicki Minaj, 21 Savage, Meek Mill, and more.

Speaking to “Everyday Struggle,” Lil Durk spoke on how the current Coronavirus pandemic has changed his work ethic:

I go to the studio, but I go to a studio that’s closed down. So I’ll have them open it up and just tell them that I’ll be in there by myself.
