Last May, Jim Jones released his seventh studio LP El Capo, which may be considered one of his best bodies of work to date. Since then, he’s been consistent with a regular flow of music video releases for “Make No Issues Of It,” “NYC,” “State Of The Union,” “Love Of The Hustle,” and more. Today, he delivers a new clip from the project for “Nothing Lasts,” which features assistance from Fabolous and Marc Scibilia and sees the collaborators reflecting on life and waxing poetic over production from The Heatmakerz:

“So as the stars shine down on us, new Rollie as the time wind down on us/

Hit the club, skip line with the pound on us, you can hear the shots flyin’ from around the corner/

Preacher said we should count every minute, microwave, I cook up an ounce in a minute/

I was way more into money than I’m into fame, I was prayin’ for the summers when the winter came.../”

The attached video comes courtesy of Jones and Shula The Don, and seems to mix footage from different events/videos to create a final product. Jones and Fab can be seen racing in twin Rolls Royces throughout New York, mixed with shots of the Dipset general in tropical waters and in the trenches of Harlem. Maino, Dave East, Trav, and more also make cameos in the flashy clip.

In a recent interview with the N.O.R.E.-led “Drink Champs,” Jim Jones spoke on making jewelry investments, using an impressive JAY-Z purchase as an example:

“[JAY-Z’s $2.5 million Blue Sapphire watch], it’s a one of one. There’ll never be another produced of its kind. If JAY wanted to and he put that into auction, he could put that into auction and probably get close to $8-9 million for that watch today. Again, it’s investment pieces, just like even Fab said on his last album, “I’m investing, kid/When I buy the Richard Mille/Plain Jane.” I don’t know exactly how he put it, but it’s an investment.”
