This past Valentine’s Day, Tink liberated her official debut LP Hopeless Romantic, her first since last year’s Voicemails. This week, she delivers a new visual from said debut for “I Ain’t Got Time Today,” which is aimed at a special someone who can’t seem to put a stop to their infidelities:

“I don’t wanna fight in the middle of the day, if there’s another girl, then you better come clean/

Actin’ real shady, tell me what we on ‘fore a b***h go crazy/

I hate when n***as be lyin’, especially when s*** be so small, if you ain’t gon’ ride, then don’t waste my time/

I told you I’m not to be f***ed with, I don’t understand ‘cause I thought we had a plan…/”

The accompanying visual brings Tink’s lyrics to life, as she explained to Complex for its premiere:

“This video is a visual representation of how easy it is to grow apart from someone you love especially when they can’t get right… A woman’s intuition is real, we can always tell when something isn’t right. Whether you like it or not, there comes a time when you have to choose yourself and leave that person you love behind.”

Keeping with the current theme, Tink was recently featured alongside Ari Lennox and 6LACK on K Camp’s latest single “Black Men Don’t Cheat.” The aforementioned Voicemails — which is approaching its one-year anniversary — saw 12 heartfelt tracks and a single appearance from DeJ Loaf on “Ride It.”

A former artist signed to Timbaland’s Mosley Music Group, Tink explained to The FADER why she needed to break free from the hip hop legend’s label back in 2018:

“There was stuff within the business side that messed up a lot of things. Like, you can love a person to death, but if the business isn’t right, there’s always going to be friction. I just felt like nobody was paying attention to what I had going on outside of me and Tim… For me, that was the red flag. I stepped into the deal just hoping that I would be accepted for whatever I created. It wasn’t that type of situation.”
