It’s been more than a year since Kash Doll released her debut album Stacked, which saw 17 tracks and features from Big Sean, Lil Wayne, Trey Songz, Summer Walker, Teyana Taylor, and more. Since then, she’s dropped a few top quality singles and collaborations, including “Wake Up,” “Rich Hoochie,” and “Bad Azz” with DJ Infamous, Benny The Butcher, and Mulatto. Today, she adds to that with her new offering “Bossa Nova,” which sees an addition from fellow Detroit star Tee Grizzley. Over production from Hit-Boy, the duo rap about a late night rendezvous with some friends:

“Let me call some bitches that for sure goin’, pull up on us, 3AM like Bossa Nova, bro, ayy, go and get a bottle from the corner store, if I was you, I wouldn’t fuck without no Trojan on…/

In a past interview with REVOLT, Kash Doll spoke on how other Detroit artists have influenced her from a lyrical standpoint:

“You gotta think about who you’re talking. You’re talking about Eminem, Royce Da 5’9, Big Sean. Those are like three of the top rappers ever. Hell yeah, I’m like, ‘I ain’t about to come out the D with them petty ass bars, I’m bout rap! That’s what I’m bout to do and that’s what I did. I mean, I’m influenced by those guys. That’s what I grew up listening to.”

Tee Grizzley has been busy creating new music as well — this year alone has seen dope cuts from the “First Day Out” rapper, including “Red Light,” “Payroll” with Payroll Giovanni, “Robbery,” “I Spy,” and the socially charged “Mr. Officer” with Queen Naija and the Detroit Youth Choir. He also dropped the full-length project The Smartest in June.
