Hip Hop wouldn’t be nearly as exciting as it is today without the OG 2 Chainz still in the picture. Going back from his days as 12 of the rap group Playaz Circle through his tenure with Ludacris and Disturbing Tha Peace, Tity Boi has cemented his legacy with every release through the years. His classic T.R.U REALigion Gangsta Grillz mixtape with DJ Drama back in 2011 sparked a run that’ll never be forgotten — and for that, the ATL legend will always be relevant in one way or another. Today, 2 Chainz does the game a favor with the release of his sixth studio album So Help Me God.

Serving as the follow-up to his 2019 album Rap Or Go To The League, So Help Me God is certainly a project that should be (and will be) appreciated from top to bottom. The album’s announcement came after the release of one of its standout singles, “Money Maker,” featuring the living legend Lil Wayne (that also came with captivating visuals). Fans were hoping the duo would drop their ColleGrove 2 project soon, but So Help Me God won the race to streaming services.

Here’s a quick fun fact: back in March 2015, Kanye West declared that his follow-up to Yeezus would be titled So Help Me God, but that album ultimately became the classic The Life of Pablo.

In recent times, 2 Chainz told Complex he still plans to do a joint album with Kanye West when their schedules aligned:

“He’s still going to produce an album for me, and we’re still going back and forth, but it’s just the time of me wanting to put it out and be done, because he has a thousand things going on in his place,” “He has something to do with this project, but I don’t want to spoil that alert. But let it be known that it’s going to happen, whether it’s this next project or the one after. It’s a whole Tity Boi and Kanye West project, produced by Kanye. Let’s just say that.”
