Masego is gearing up to take listeners on a trip around the world with is forthcoming EP Studying Abroad, dropping of “Silver Tongue Devil,” his collaboration with Shenseea after delivering “Passport” back in September. Today, he shares his final pre-release offering, a new track “Mystery Lady” featuring melodic favorite Don Toliver.

Studying Abroad follows Masego’s official debut album Lady Lady, which included features from SiR, Tiffany Gouché, De’ Wayne Jackson, and FKJ. The TrapHouseJazz singer certainly hasn’t been mute since then, as he dropped off plenty of appearances on singles in 2020 alone, including “Golden Ticket” with Brasstracks and Common, “Good & Plenty” with Alex Isley and Jack Dine, “Stickin’” with Sinead and VanJess, along with his own singles “Veg Out,” “King’s Rant,” and the aforementioned “Passport.” ‘Sego also participated in this year’s virtual BET Awards, gifting the viewers a new rendition of his popular Lady Lady track “Queen Tings.”

Aside from releasing his own project this year Heaven or Hell, which included successful hits such as “After Party” and “No Idea,” Don Toliver has taken part in plenty of notable assists in 2020, such as Internet Money’s “Lemonade” alongside Gunna and NAV, Rico Nasty’s “Don’t Like Me” with Gucci Mane, “Cafeteria” by CHASE B featuring Gunna, and more.

In an interview with GQ, Masego shares a bit about his outlook on life:

“I think you have to be chosen, because things move out of your way if you are really supposed to be doing it. If you’re met with serious resistance then that tells you something about the path you’re trying to take. Like I knew I was supposed to drop out of college. I love education, I love learning and reading, but I knew that was my journey. I knew my relationship was not supposed to work out in college because then I wrote ‘Navajo.’”
