It’s been four years since Donae’O dropped off the groundbreaking Sixteen, a 14-track masterpiece with a wealth of additional contributions from Fredo, Young T & Bugsey, Ghetts, Shakka, Wretch 32, Louis Rei, the late Cadet, and more. That’s not to say that the London legend has been quiet since that release — in fact, the UK Funky pioneer has continued to bless the masses with infectious singles and collaborations like “Chalice” with Belly, “It’s Yours” with Big Narstie, “The Party’s Over Here,” “Bonita” with Stylo G, “Back Down” with KYZE, K-Trap, and LD, and a re-imagining of the classic “Party Hard.” This year alone has seen Donae’O continue his momentum with “She Belongs To The Night,” “Mufasa,” and “Rollie,” three songs that give hope to a possible new project from the multi-talent in 2022.

Yesterday (Dec. 29), Donae’O added to that with “I’m In A Good Mood,” an upbeat vibe that featuring the equally dope Terri Walker and sees the artists closing out the year with nothing but positive energy:

“I’m in a good mood, eatin’ some good food, wearing my good shoes, you know what I do, I’m in a good mood, I want you to be, too, come dance if you want to, or, you know we do, yeah…”

Earlier this month, Walker teamed up with Rodney P for the hip hop ballad “Find a Way (Never, Again).” Her last project, Breakout, made landfall back in 2019 and contained nine cuts (including three remixes) and assists from DRS, Ty, Tyler Daley, Konny Kon, and her aforementioned collaborator. As with Donae’O, it’s hopeful that the “Ching Ching” songstress has plenty more in store that will arrive sooner than later.

In the meantime, you can throw on your dancing shoes and press play on Donae’O and Terri Walker‘s “I’m In A Good Mood” below. UPDATE: Donae’O recently re-released the cut for the new year, now titled a simpler “Good Mood.”
