After being seen hanging out with Kanye West in Los Angeles for the past week, Antonio Brown says he and the rap star are working together on Ye’s Donda sports brand.

Speaking with Complex on Friday (Jan. 21), the former Tampa Bay Buccaneer explained how he and Ye initially linked up.

“It was just by the grace of God,” Brown explained of the “random” meeting. “I was at Craig’s [restaurant] having dinner in L.A. with Rich, my guy at Fashion Nova, and I ran into Kanye randomly at Craig’s. We got haircuts at Craig’s. It was totally out of the blue and we just started hanging out in L.A.”

“We’ve got a lot of positive things coming,” he continued. “It’s just been an amazing week for me. I’m sitting here with Mr. Tim at Amazon Music right now having a meeting. So, I’ve been grateful for the last 21 days.”

One of those “positive things,” Brown said, is a collaboration under Kanye’s Donda sports brand.

“We’re just excited about the Donda sports brand and making this thing a competitive sports brand to the athletes,” Brown explained. “I don’t think there’s a lot of fashion lines for athletes [for] wearing fashionable and comfortable clothes. So with a guy like Kanye West, being able to partner with him and work with him to provide more creative, genius ideas for fashion looks for athletes in general… I’m just grateful for the opportunity… to share what we’ve got with the world.”

Brown added, “… We got some exciting things to look forward to this year.”

As reported by REVOLT, Brown was released from the Buccaneers after what he claimed was a dispute with head coach Bruce Arians. In a statement, Brown said he was fired from the Florida team after refusing to play with an injured ankle.
