Kanye West and Moneybagg Yo are coming together for a potential collaboration. On Wednesday (Jan. 12), the “Wockesha” rapper took to his Instagram Story to share a screenshot of a text exchange that seemingly confirms a sequel to Ye’s 2021 album, Donda, is in the works.

In the messages, West shared some updates about the project with Moneybagg, adding that the two must meet to focus on their joint effort. “I got to lock in with you on Donda 2. Money in front of us,” he wrote. “Bullshit behind us.”

The post from Moneybagg comes days after Steven Victor — the chief operating officer of G.O.O.D. Music — told Complex that “Ye has started working on his new masterpiece Donda 2.”

Wack 100 also reportedly teased upcoming music from West in a leaked Clubhouse conversation, per HotNewHipHop. “You gon’ see this Friday (Jan. 14), my nigga. This Friday you gon’ see,” he said. “That nigga back. That nigga ain’t give no fucks…He feeds into the energy around him, but Ye is so fucking intelligent. The minute you think he’s crazy is the minute you miss it.”

As the Chicago emcee works on his eleventh studio album, he is also gearing up for his return to the Coachella stage. After reports spread of his headlining gig at the 2022 festival, the news was officially confirmed on Wednesday. As Billboard reported, the “Touch the Sky” rapper will be joining Billie Eilish and Harry Styles as the show’s headliners. It is not clear on which night West will take the stage, but it is believed that he may close out the festival and may even take the stage with his Sunday Service choir.

The 2022 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival will go down on April 15-17 and April 22-24 at the Empire Polo Grounds in Indio, California.
