A few years ago, Emeli Sandé liberated her third album REAL LIFE, a well-received body of work that boasted singles like “Sparrow,” “Extraordinary Being,” “Shine,” and “You Are Lot Alone.” Since that release, the Scottish talent continued to deliver equally dope cuts and collaborations, including “One of a Kind” with Ronan Keating, “I’ll Get There (The Other Side),” “Prayed Up,” “More of You” with Stonebwoy and Nana Rogues, and “Intermission” — the last song of which also acted as an announcement that Sandé was zeroing in on a completion of her next project.

Back in September, Sandé made her official return with “Family,” which was then followed by the Jaykae-assisted “Look What You’ve Done” a month later. This week, she continues her campaign with “Brighter Days,” another inspirational effort that sees her singing about the proverbial light at the end of the tunnel, something we can all relate to:

“We’ve seen it all, the tears have fallen, and every step is on the edge, and we’re so confused, we don’t understand, it feels like this night won’t end, but there’s gonna be brighter days, brighter days, I’ll keep you lifted when you’re losing faith, there’s gonna be brighter days, brighter days, though it seems distant, know the world will change, to brighter days, to brighter days, to brighter days, the world will change, so don’t you worry, there’s still hope left, if the pain gets heavy, if you need a friend…”

Directed by Lewis Cater, the accompanying clip for “Brighter Days” is mainly centered around Sandé playing the piano, surrounded by flowers, while performing the powerful number. She can also be seen in other locations within the residence throughout.
