Slim 400 has been laid to rest.

On Wednesday (Jan. 18), friends and family members of the BompTTon spitter gathered for his funeral. YG, who was close friends with Slim, was photographed as one of the pallbearers who carried his casket to the gravesite. One photo showed Slim’s casket covered with red bandanas and red and white Chuck Taylors, while another featured the funeral program which read, “Celebrating The Life Of Vincent L. Cohran.”

As REVOLT previously reported, Slim was shot and killed on Dec. 8 in the Inglewood area of Los Angeles. The 33-year-old was found with gunshot wounds and transported to a local hospital. He was later pronounced dead.

After news of his death surfaced, many of his close friends and collaborators took to social media to send their condolences. Ty Dolla Sign shared a photo of himself with the slain MC on Twitter. “Longlive$lim,” he tweeted.

Zoey Dollaz tweeted, “I tell a bitch nigga holllldddd uppppppp…RIP SLIM 400.. rest in heaven to my dawg!”

Back in 2019, the “Piru” rapper narrowly escaped death after being shot nine times while visiting his family members in Compton. Slim previously told a Los Angeles radio station that he was “ambushed” by the drive-by shooting, however, one of his family members was able to drag him to safety.

“I just feel like when you meant to be here and God have a plan for you, it ain’t no stoppin’ it,” he said at the time. “I hit the ground thinking it was over. My family came out, kept me alive, talking to me, dragging me in the house while they still shooting… My family, love her to death for just saving me. I just feel like I’m blessed just to be here ’cause I could have just died then and there.”
