A GoFundMe account has been launched to raise $25,000 for the funeral of Jeannette Gallegos, who was shot and killed by her boyfriend and rapper J Stash. On Monday (Jan. 3), Erika Chavez created the page, which included a heartfelt tribute to her late sister.

“A tragic and unexpected loss for my family & nephews. God has gained another angel,” the description read. “My sister was full of life, she was the sweetest most caring person, always there for everyone who needed her. Her favorite quote [is] ‘live today because tomorrow is not promised’… Rest in Paradise Jeanette, fly high my beautiful angel.”

Also mentioned in the post were Gallegos’ three sons, who “will have to continue living life with what’s left, the memories created with their mommy.” They were the ones who alerted authorities shortly after J Stash took their mother into a master bedroom and locked the door.

According to authorities, the rapper and his girlfriend had been living in their Temple City home for a few months before things went downhill on Jan. 1. That day, as the two argued about their relationship, Stash took the discussion into the bedroom and eventually rang fire. Gallegos’ children reportedly phoned their grandmother after hearing the gunshots and were told to call authorities to the scene. They ran outside of the home upon the deputies’ arrival.

As REVOLT previously reported, Gallegos, a 27-year-old graduate of California State University, was discovered on the floor unconscious with multiple gunshots wounds. Stash, on the other hand, was found with a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The children were removed from the home and are now with family. An investigation into the murder-suicide remains active.

As Trippie Redd and SpotemGottem mourned the loss of the late rapper, students from California State University paid tribute to Gallegos.
