Drake made the holiday season special for a few of his fans. On Christmas Day (Dec. 25), the Views rapper was spotted handing out wads of cash to random residents in his hometown of Toronto, Canada.

The gesture was captured in a video taken by one of the lucky recipients of the money. In the clip, Drizzy is seen as he gives out stacks of Canadian $20 bills. “Thank you, bro. I appreciate it guys, take care,” a man says, to which the 6 God responds, “You already know.” In the caption, he referred to the rapper as a Toronto legend.

@Champagnepapi giving away racks for Christmas,” he wrote. “Life’s fucking unreal man. Legend of the city.”

While Drake took time to give back to members of his community, like many, he also spent the holiday days with his loved ones. According to an Instagram post, he had some quality time with his son. In a clip shared on his page, the rapper shared a video of him playing around with Adonis. “Merry Christmas from the Gang,” he captioned the photo.

Drake is one of many celebrities who flexed their giving spirit for the holiday season. Rich The Kid organized the Rich Forever Holiday Give Back — a COVID-19 friendly giveaway in which he virtually supplied over 20 families with gifts, NFTs, and payments of financial obligations like overdue light bills, daycare, rent, and more.

“COVID has caused a financial burden on a lot of American families who were already living in poverty,” he said. “It’s been on my heart heavily to give back whenever I get the chance, and it’s something that I enjoy doing without any other objective outside of helping people…I am happy that I was able to pay and help some people stay in their homes this Christmas, and to be able to provide Christmas gifts to families as well.”

Kanye West, Ludacris, Meek Mill, Boosie and more also gave back to less fortunate people in their native towns.
