Rich The Kid lent a helping hand to residents of a homeless shelter in Atlanta. On Sunday (Nov. 7), the New York emcee visited Nicholas House, a nonprofit that provides emergency shelter to homeless families in the area, and gifted 104 families with brand new Nike sneakers and school supplies like “notebooks, papers, folders, pens, pencils and socks.” He also treated residents with a meal cooked by chef Indigo Grant.

“I set up this giveback for the homeless shelter because I felt in need to give back in any way,” the “Plug Walk” rapper said in a statement.

“God had been blessing me so I’d like to give back to others in any way. This is only the beginning of what I would like to be doing. I’m thankful for Indigo and everyone who came.”

Rich The Kid’s latest deed follows years of sporadic acts of charity from the Trust Fund Babies emcee. Earlier this year, he was fined after he randomly pulled up in front of a Burberry store on Rodeo Drive and threw wads of cash into the air. In 2020, he joined a lineup of performers, including Young Thug, Offset and SAINt JHN, for a concert that set out to raise funds for the Atlanta Community Food Bank (ACFB).

He also blessed a fan with a backstage pass to the 2019 Lollapalooza festival that took place in Chicago. According to TMZ, Rich’s manager contacted Mekailo Woodfork, an 18-year-old who had his leg amputated at birth, after coming across a video of him watching as those around him hopped over fences and made their way into the festival. He offered him a four-day pass and the chance to meet RTK. That day, the fan tweeted, was the “best day ever.”
