Every year, celebrities give back to their community ahead of the holiday season; this year is no different. After Kanye West’s huge donation to Chicago residents earlier this month, Boosie, Yella Beezy and Gunna have joined in with their own Christmas giveaways.

On Monday (Dec. 20), the “Wipe Me Down” emcee returned to his hometown and joined Baton Rouge Constable Terrica Williams for her annual Christmas giveaway. Per Boosie’s Twitter account, they handed out more than 1000 gifts to the community members.

“This is a trying time right now, so many people are going through it. We had a pandemic, we have hurricanes, we just have bad times right now,” Williams said in a statement. “So we want to make sure that the families and communities have what they need.”

On Tuesday (Dec. 21), Texas rapper Yella Beezy announced that he was hosting a toy drive in his native town. Alongside video displaying shopping carts filled of gifts, toys and more, he called on Houston residents to attend the event, which was held earlier today (Dec. 22).

“It’s that time of the year again our annual give back,” he captioned the photo. “Give back starts…from 3pm-until. Everything gone.”

“Y’all know it be crazy so get there early!” he continued. “S/o everybody that helped sponsor with us!!!”

While Boosie held down Baton Rouge and Yella Beezy came through for Houstonians, Gunna spread the holiday cheer to people in Atlanta. According to multiple news outlets, the Wunna rapper teamed up with non-profit Goodr to give away $150 Walmart gift cards to 750 registered families in College Park.

“Gunna continually finds ways to give back to the community that raised him.” Goodr CEO Jasmine Crowe says. “We at Goodr value this partnership and look forward to helping Gunna’s efforts whenever we are called upon.”
