Today (Dec. 17), Melii is bringing heat to the holiday season with a brand new R&B pack Winter in New York City. The EP arrives just as the year closes out and right before the official day is here, Melii gives us her perspective of the emotions felt during this time of the year. The two track project features the smooth sounds of “Hey Stranger and “Would You Let Me Go.” On the former track, Melii opens up the two-pack with her lyrics addressed to a not-so-forgotten lover:

Hey, what’s up, stranger? Feel like I don’t know you anymore/ You got too much pride, gettin’ worse than before, look you in your eyes, they don’t glow like before/ Guess the fire burnt down, then who ignites it anymore, you won’t even come down to my side anymore

Gave you all my love, guess you needed more, all them girls is cute too, I see you finessin’ but/ You know you offencin’ my blessings, yeah/ (I sent you blessings, I sent you blessings) but you know that I was different for you

Around this tim last year, Melii unveiled her collab track with 6lack titled “You Ain’t Worth It.” Shortly after, she retirned with the official video, featuring scenes of Melii leveling up and leaving her old situation for a new one. Also in 2020, we saw a few singles and features from Melii, including her song “Way Too Soft,” “BDE” with Smoove’L, “HBK” with Sainvil, “Crush” with Souly Had, and “Call On Me” with Odalys. Melii delivered her debut album phAses back in 2019, which boasted 14 tracks and additional features from Tory Lanez, Odalys, and A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie. 2019 also saw an EP from the New York multi-talent titled MOTIONS.
