Back in December, Melii unveiled her collab track with 6lack titled “You Ain’t Worth It.” She now returns with the official video, featuring scenes of Melii leveling up and leaving her old situation for a new one. On the track, the Harlem artist slides in on her hook about how her next is better than her ex:

My new n***a, he got big racks, big dick, big bag, uh-huh, big stacks, peep that, like, yeah. I can’t be stressin’ on no old hoes, no-no. I might just flex up on my ex and let it go-go, go-go. I let you act up, get your shit together. I let you rock, had me convinced that you ain’t know no better. Using trauma as excuses for your lack of effort. Would give advice on mental health like you’re the fuckin’ expert. But you might need one, shit, if you see one. Fill me in on tips, an explanation, what’s the reason?

Last year, we saw a few singles and features from Melii, including her song “Way Too Soft,” “BDE” with Smoove’L, “HBK” with Sainvil, “Crush” with Souly Had, and “Call On Me” with Odalys. Melii delivered her debut album phAses back in 2019, which boasted 14 tracks and additional features from Tory Lanez, Odalys, and A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie. 2019 also saw an EP from the New York multi-talent titled MOTIONS.

In a previous sit-down conversation with REVOLT, Melii spoke about using her platform to promote positivity:

“If you live real lifestyle, you’re true to yourself. It just goes smoother, you feel me? Because when you’re living to other people’s expectations or you’re trying to do things for others, you’re not living for yourself. Even when things go wrong and you feel like you failed, but you didn’t fail. You failed because you’re expecting other people to see these goals that you accomplished. But, in reality, it’s up to you to just live life.”
