Back in May, Sinéad Harnett officially unleashed her thoughtful sophomore album Ready Is Always Too Late. Now, she’s ready to circle back and present the deluxe edition of the fan-favorite body of work. The first offering is the freshly released “Where You Been Hiding,” a sultry new single produced by M-Phazes and accompanied by an official video directed by Kyle Jetter.
Los Angeles-based R&B singer took a moment to share her intentions behind the new release. “I started writing this song whilst making my second album Ready is Always Too Late,” she shares via press release. “At the time I was honestly asking myself why I couldn’t seem to make any romantic relationship work. I was questioning if it will ever happen, and if so where this person is. As time’s gone on and I eventually finished the song, I reflected on its meaning. The relationship I’ve had with myself needed some work and healing, which brings a whole new deeper level to the song for me. I’d been hiding from myself for too long.“
Featuring collaborations with EARTHGANG, Lucky Daye, Masego, and VanJess, Harnett’s second studio album celebrates her journey to embodying the best version of herself. In terms of visuals from the project, fans have been able to enjoy clips for tracks like “Distraction” and “Hard 4 Me 2 Love You.”
In 2019, Sinéad saw the release of her long-awaited debut album, Lessons in Love. The London-born R&B vocalist came onto the scene thanks to a series of major collaborations with the likes of Disclosure (“Boiling”), Kaytranada (“Heal You” featuring Wretch 32, “Say What You Mean”), Snakeships (“No Other Way,” “Rather Be With You”), and on three of Rudimental’s tracks off his UK #1 album Home (“Home,” “Hide,” and “Baby” with MNEK).
