As Issa Rae’s successful HBO series Insecure proceeds on to its fifth and final season, one thing that has remained in tact is the impeccable soundtrack. Early on in the season, the music choice has noticeably been geared towards representing artists from the Bay Area thanks to the college reunion at Stanford University the characters are currently at. Today (Nov. 12), Saweetie is added onto that list as she presents “Get It Girl” from the soundtrack. On the song, the Bay Area star stays true to her icy brand:

Diamante, baby hairs laid (Yeah) money long, long, bitch, I been gettin’ paid (Uh)/ Keep a big bag, nеver fold, Damier, bitch, I’m good in any hood but it’s love in thе Bay (Mwah) and my wrists on my baguette, we ain’t shinin’ the same/ I pull up in a Range, and the squad never changeIcy, that’s the gang, gang, gang (Ha)

Earlier this week, Saweetie linked up with Calvin Klein and Amazon Live for the Icy Season special, co-headlined by Symone from RuPaul’s Drag Race. One month prior, she was enlisted by Netflix for the Sex: Unzipped special, which served as the streaming platform’s celebration of sexual health and sex positivity.

Saweetie led the charge for a lit summer with her first installment of her Pretty Summer Playlist release a few months ago, which includes seven songs and features from names like Lourdiz and Drakeo The Ruler. Back in January, Saweetie linked up with Doja Cat and blessed fans with a new anthem to hype your bestie with. The “Best Friend” track got even better as Saweetie tapped Stefflon Don to add a fresh new paint job to the hit for its official remix. Prior to that was her Jhene Aiko-assisted single “Back To The Streets.” All of these moves are creating a steady momentum for her highly anticipated forthcoming project Pretty Bitch Music.

Be sure to press play on Saweetie’s brand new “Get It Girl.”
