On Nov. 19, Warner Records will issue the soundtrack for actress Halle Berry’s directorial debut film Bruised. The soundtrack boasts the title of being the first-ever all female Hip-Hop soundtrack, equipped with appearances from Cardi B, Saweetie, Latto, H.E.R., and more. Today (Nov. 5), the first taste of it arrives as the City Girls drop their brand new single “Scared” from the soundtrack. On the new song, the City Girls are fearless:

Never been a scared bitch, you know how I’m rockin’ if them hoes ever said shit/ He can get it poppin’ (Let’s go) I’m too focused on the bread, bitch, and you just pocket watchin’ let them broke bitches gossip. ’cause ain’t no way I’m stoppin’ never been a scared bitch

The Netflix feature will also see Berry starring as a disgraced M.M.A. fighter and debuts on the streamer on Nov. 24, after a limited one-week run in theaters. Berry made sure to give a glimpse into her thoughts about the music in the film. “I can’t wait to show it,” Berry tells Variety. “I have to tell you, one of the things I’m most excited about is the title song that H.E.R. sang… and she killed it. So I can’t wait to share with everyone and am super excited.”

Last year, City Girls dropped off their sophomore studio album City on Lock, which saw 15-tracks and notable appearances from Doja Cat, Yo Gotti, Lil Durk, and Lil Baby. It was on this album that “Twerkulator” was originally meant to appear — unfortunately, JT revealed on social media that clearance issues caused it to be shelved for that moment. Either way, the girls made sure to make a moment out of the hit by enjoying its viral moments and releasing a music video that boasted direction from Missy Elliott.

Be sure to press play on City Girls’ brand new single “Scared” from the Bruised s oundtrack.
