Throughout the year, Rene Bonét has been blessing fans with dope visuals for tracks like “Trendsetter,” “Shawdy,” and — most recently — “Yeah Yeah Yeah Yeah.” Earlier this month, the DMV-to-Atlanta talent liberated her new album Love in 5D, which comes with 20 songs and production courtesy of Weku Did That. The full-length release follows another project from Bonét, Bully Barbé: The Album, that made landfall in September.

Over the weekend, Bonét also revealed a “Private InTree” performance that saw her delivering intimate renditions of standout cuts like “Delirious,” “Where You Are,” and “Dream” — the last of which, as was explained via press release, saw her revealing some truths about her current relationship, a common theme heard throughout Love in 5D:

“When I was writing [“Dream”] at the time I had been binge watching a lot of reality TV shows, and it caused me to have insecurities in my own relationship, but they where all In my head … it was like I had everything I needed and wanted but I just couldn’t believe or accept it.”

As much critical acclaim as Love in 5D has been receiving, it’s also translating well from a commercial standpoint. Taking to social media, Bonét revealed that the album has peaked within the top ten of iTunes’ R&B charts — and it’s all because of her dedicated and growing fanbase:

“Yo, Love in 5D just fuckin’ hit the R&B charts, like … if you downloaded and if you bought my album, thank you so much. Like, this shit wouldn’t have happened without you. Yo we just went up! We top 10! Let’s go!”
