Today (Oct. 15), GRAMMY Award-winning rapper, singer, executive producer, and songwriter Derrick Milano reveals a new single entitled “Control” featuring multi-Platinum artist Ty Dolla $ign. The track arrives as a follow up to his recent “Die4iT” release, which was his celebratory track presented in conjunction with his Epic Records deal announcement. In the new “Control” offering, Derrick sets the tone:
She like her n***as in control (In control, woah), she like her n***as in control (In control, woah, ayy)/ She like aggressive shit (She like aggressive shit) say she like it rough, when n***s grab her neck and shit (Grab her neck and shit)
Philly born and Delaware raised Derrick Milano continues to assert himself as a presence in the music industry. He has already won a GRAMMY in 2021 for co-writing Megan thee Stallion’s “Savage” and it’s Beyonce-featuring remix. Along the way, he put up numbers on early independent solo releases of his own, such as “Play Wit It,” “Cellular,” and the 2020 collaborative project 1/2 Man 1/2 Wolf with producer Danny Wolf.
Ty Dolla $ign has definitely been in a collaborative spirit lately. He recently dropped off his joint project with dvsn titled Cheers to the Best Memories. The multitalented singer can be heard on dope collaborations like Mozzy and YG’s “Vibe With You” visual and also alongside Jack Harlow and 24kGoldn for the new “I Won” single from F9: The Fast Saga official soundtrack. One major gift to fans was the recent “I Believed It” collab with Dvsn, which features a posthumous feature from the late Mac Miller. Back in March, he blessed the masses with a remix of last year’s “By Yourself,” which sees Bryson Tiller joining Ty$, Jhené Aiko, and producer Mustard.
Be sure to press play on Derrick Milano’s brand new single “Control” featuring Ty Dolla $ign.
