Eazy-E’s daughter is hoping her father gets a shout out during the Pepsi Super Bowl LVI Halftime Show. During a recent interview with TMZ, Ebie revealed her desire to see the late rapper get honored amid the forthcoming event.

According to Ebie, the N.W.A. star paved the way for many emcees in the game and would have probably been named among next year’s performers if he were still alive. In honor of his absence and contributions to rap, she believes that he should be acknowledged even if only for a brief moment. Per the star’s daughter, a simple “RIP Eazy-E” would suffice as millions of viewers will be tuning into watch the annual event.

As REVOLT previously reported, the NFL announced that Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Mary J. Blige and Kendrick Lamar will headline the Super Bowl LVI Halftime Show on Feb. 13 of next year. The event will make its return to Los Angeles after thirty years and is set to take place in SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, Calif, less than 15 miles from Eazy’s hometown of Compton.

Ebie claims she’s excited about the lineup and believes her father would have been as well. She noted her beliefs that Eazy-E would particularly be excited about the inclusion of Kendrick and former N.W.A. star Dre, both fellow Compton natives who are directly impacted by her father’s work.

While it remains to be seen whether Eazy-E will get a shout out at the forthcoming halftime show, Dr. Dre issued a statement that expressed his eagerness to perform alongside some other superstars.

“The opportunity to perform at the Super Bowl Halftime show, and to do it in my own backyard, will be one of the biggest thrills of my career,” he said. “I’m grateful to JAY-Z, Roc Nation, the NFL and Pepsi as well as Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Mary J. Blige and Kendrick Lamar for joining me in what will be an unforgettable cultural moment.”
