KYLE is officially back with his newest single “Optimistic,” which signals the start of a “new chapter” for the recording artist. The track arrives with a brand new visual directed by Jon Primo and the song boasts an assist from Dougie F. In contrast to the song’s title, the visual opens up with a rather dim, rainy scene as Kyle opens up with his lyrics:

You been too optimistic lately, you think you love me when you hate me/ Seeing it clearer and clearer on your face, whatever you want, I give you the sunshine/ I give you the whole nine, yeah, just to make it up to you/ Whatever makes you comfortable

What I gotta do to prove I fuck with you? Baby you could come catch a vibe, it’s up to you or you could just stay on your side if it’s trouble/ And I can call you or I pull up on you, baby you tripping for no reason, baby we changing seasons/ Telling me that you leaving

Most recently, KYLE linked up with Jazz Cartier for their collab track on Cartier’s freshly released The Fleur Print. KYLE also dropped his “What It Is” track last year to hold folks over during the middle of the quarantine. A few months later, the rapper circled back around to unleash a fresh new remix of the song, equipped with a verse from Chris Brown.

His last project See You When I am Famous!!!!!!!!!!!! includes 12 tracks from the Ventura star, along with collaborations alongside a slew of artists, including Tyga, Rico Nasty, Rich The Kid, Trippie Redd, Bryson Tiller, Raphael Saadiq, and Too $hort. His co-star Dougie F has dropped off singles like “In Your Feelings” and “Yellow Durag” last year.
