Gregg Leakes recently lost his battle to colon cancer.

NeNe Leakes is mourning the loss of her late husband, Gregg Leakes, who recently passed away following his battle with colon cancer. On Thursday (Sept. 2), after news of Gregg’s death circulated the internet, the reality star shared a video of a tender moment they once shared.

The clip captures the two as they gazed into each other’s eyes and two-stepped to Johnny Gill’s “It Would Be You.” The caption alongside the video was void of words. It simply consisted of an assortment of hearts and broken hearts.

As documented on past episodes of “Real Housewives of Atlanta,” NeNe stood alongside her husband as he battled colon cancer throughout the years.

Following his cancer’s remission in 2019, things seemed to be on the up and up until earlier this year when the personality revealed that the cancer had returned. Most recently, NeNe provided an impromptu update that included the devastating information that her spouse was “transitioning to the other side.”

“Give us some love, okay? You see my son right here, he’s hurting, I’m hurting,” the star said after breaking the news. “We walked in here because we have to walk in here ‘cause we have this business, but my husband is losing his life at this very moment.”

As NeNe admitted she was “broken,” Brentt Leakes, her son with Gregg, urged his followers to “spend time with your loved ones.” “Time is so fucking valuable dog,” he wrote on Tuesday (Aug. 31). “I can’t express it. I’m learning the hard way watching my dad fight every day. Please go create memories with ya people.”

The following day (Sept. 1), Gregg passed away at the age of 66. His death has met with tributes from celebrities and social media stars, including “RHOA” cast mates Porsha Williams, Marlo Hampton, Cynthia Bailey and Kandi Burruss.
