NeNe Leakes reveals husband Gregg is at home dying
Gregg was diagnosed with stage 3 colon cancer in 2018.
TV personality NeNe Leakes has announced her husband Gregg’s cancer is worsening. A video, shared on Twitter, captured the former star of “The Real Houswives of Atlanta” (RHOA) revealing her husband’s condition inside of her new hotspot the Linnethia Lounge.
“I hope you guys are enjoying the lounge tonight,” Leakes said. “Please, I’m asking everybody in this lounge, I had no idea that I was going to walk in here and grab this microphone and make this announcement but I want to say this… I want to be at peace. When you see me and you see my son, give us a lot of love, okay? My husband is transitioning to the other side… You dont know what we’re dealing with right now.”
“This is our business so when people approach us and say, ‘you’re rude,’ because you dont want to say ‘happy birthday,’ my husband is at home dying… So, please give us some respect,” she continued. “Give us some love, okay? You see my son right here, he’s hurting, I’m hurting… We walked in here because we have to walk in here ‘cause we have this business but my husband is losing his life at this very moment.”
The troubling update arrives just a few months after Leakes openly discussed her husband’s cancer during an Instagram Live with The Jasmine Brand. At the time, Gregg Leakes had just underwent surgery. “He’s in the hospital. He’s been in the hospital, tomorrow it’ll be a week,” she told The Jasmine Brand. “I’m sure he’ll be home in about a week or so. He had to have a surgery, [because] his cancer did return.”
Gregg was diagnosed with stage 3 colon cancer in 2018, however it went into remission circa 2019 after he received treatment. On Instagram, NeNe shared a cryptic photo with the word “broken” on it.
