EarthGang has made their return by dropping off their new loose visual titled “Erykah,” dedicated to the legendary artist Erykah Badu. The song comes paired with a documented by Neri visual, which features a series of clips artfully put together showing the duo navigate the in’s and out’s of life on the road, life in paradise, and everything in between. The song opens up with a monologue about the first time they ever heard Erykah, recalling the true impact of her music.

“First time I heard an Erykah Badu song, I was probably like six, riding around with my uncle on 285 on the west side,” the voice says. “‘On and On’ came on the radio, and I was like I ain’t ever heard or felt nothing like this before. It was my first introduction to like, what music could do for the body and spirit.”

Most recently, EarthGang delivered a hit by linking up with Wale and Coi Leray for “Options (Remix).” Shortly before that was their take on the highly circulated “Lemon Pepper Freestyle.” Also in recent months, Johnny Venus assisted Sinéad Harnett in her new “Take Me Away” video that dropped earlier this year. Other dope features include their appearances on Angelique Kidjo’s “Take It Or Leave It” and Tommy Newport’s “Stargazer.”

EarthGang’s collective Spillage Village shared their Spilligion project back in September, which featured an array of guest artists including Chance the Rapper, Lucky Daye, Ari Lennox, and Masego. The album was preceded by singles like “Baptize,” “Hapi” and “End of Daze.” Earthgang’s last full length project Mirrorland made landfall back in September of 2019, a project that boasted fan favorites like “Proud Of U” with Young Thug, “Bank,” and “Tequila” featuring T-Pain.
