Lil Baby is giving back to his Atlanta community ahead of the fall school season. On Sunday (Aug. 8), the My Turn crafter hosted a back-to-school drive where he handed out hundreds of free school supplies, clothes and laptops to children in his area.

“At This Point It’s About The Kids!” he captioned a post from the event on Instagram, adding, “#generationalwealth.”

According to HipHopDX, the back-to-school drive also offered merch from Lil Baby’s charitable Four The People Foundation. The 26-year-old recently appeared as the face of Billboard’s newest cover story, during which he discussed his legacy and philanthropic efforts.

“My life feels like a responsibility,” he told the outlet. “I’m not even trying to be no role model, honestly. [But] now that I know that I am, I try to carry myself differently because I got people watching. I don’t even be doing what I really want to do; I do what I gotta do now.”

“I maintain all the street principles: You got to give respect to get respect,” he continued. “My grandma used to tell me, ‘You’re a first-class citizen.’ I know in these rooms they assume for me to be a thug or a rapper, but I’m going in as a first-class citizen.”

In other Lil Baby news, the rapper is expected to appear alongside The Weeknd on Kanye West’s forthcoming Donda track, “Hurricane.” According to Rap-Up, the song started popping up on streaming services in select countries over the weekend, including Japanese and Russian markets.

As reported by REVOLT, a snippet of “Hurricane” first surfaced in online leaks in 2018. At that time, the song was called “80 Degrees” and was on track to land on Ye’s unreleased album Yandhi. On iTunes, “Hurricane” is listed as the second song on Donda’s 24-song tracklist.
