It’s Friday morning (July 23) and Donda is nowhere to be found. Kanye West held a massive listening party in Atlanta last night (July 22) to preview his latest work, but fans were unpleasantly surprised the following morning when they found that Donda has yet to be officially released.

While some fans are still furiously refreshing their streaming platforms, others took to Twitter to share memes, jokes and tears about the delay to the point where “So Kanye” began trending on the platform.

“Kanye West sold out a stadium for his listening party and just walked the floor and said nothing. Then didn’t even release his album. Legendary Kanye shit,” one fan tweeted.

Of course, this isn’t the first time that ‘Ye has missed an album release date. Donda was initially slated to drop last July, but the project never materialized. The record is named after his mother who passed away in 2007. Her voice can reportedly be heard on the album introducing one of the songs.

Although it seems Donda won’t be arriving on streaming services today; over 40,000 people were able to listen to the highly anticipated record last night. Tickets for Kanye’s Atlanta listening party were sold for between $20 and $100 and the event was scheduled to begin at 8 p.m. local time. However, the Chicago-bred star reportedly arrived around 9:50.

Attendees were especially excited to hear a Donda song that features JAY-Z. After hearing the track, which is rumored to be titled “Jail,” fans were immediately reminded of the pair’s 2011 classic, Watch the Throne. Hov fanned the flames by rapping on the song, “This might be the return of the throne.”

Besides JAY, Donda is expected to feature Pusha T, Lil Baby, Travis Scott and more. While fans patiently wait for Kanye’s next album to arrive, check out some of the best reactions to the delay on Twitter below.
