Honne is back with their latest track “What Would You Do” and they have recruited one of R&B’s favorites Pink Sweat$ to add to the romantic offering. Announced as “the first song in a new era of music,” it’s the London electronic duo’s first new music since December’s festive Warm On A Christmas Night and July 2020 mixtape No Song Without You. On the track, Honne and Pink Sweat$ bounce off each other’s energy for the hook:

Are you gonna tell the truth? What would you do?/ They say a smile can really brighten your night, we’re, stuck on this rock together rockin’ for life, yeah/ It’s oozy jammin’ I’m just here for the vibe/ I’ma tell someone I love them tonight

Why not tell somebody you love them before it’s too late?/ Why not tell somebody you love them ‘cause it cannot wait?/ Just tell somebody you love them before it’s too late/ ‘Cause you’re running out of time, don’t wait another day

For those unfamiliar, Honne is an English electronic music duo formed in 2014 in Bow, London, consisting of James Hatcher and Andy Clutterbuck. They officially make their return this year and took some time to explain their intentions. “In the past, we’ve limited ourselves,” the band explained in a press statement. “We might get to a section of a song and things are getting really exciting, but we then pull ourselves back and say, ‘Can we really do that?’ Now, we’ve sidestepped the rules and done whatever we wanted to do.”

Most recently, Pink Sweat$ joined PnB Rock and Swae Lee for their collab track “Forever Never.” A few weeks ago, the R&B singer dropped his debut project PINK PLANET, just in time to be the soundtrack for lovers everywhere on Valentine’s Day. PINK PLANET was preceded by singles like “Heaven,” which we saw a music video for just last month. The R&B singer also unleashed the sweet visual for on of the project’s fan-favorite cuts “At My Worst” featuring Kehlani.
