Just in time for Valentine’s Day, Pink Sweat$ has officially dropped off his debut album Pink Planet. The new project lets Sweat$ true solo talent shine through as it consists of 18 tracks and only one sole feature from Kehlani for the remix of “At My Worst.” To open up the album, he eases listeners in with the introduction track “Pink City”:

We were born in the rubber, we were raised in the mud. Yeah, it’s hard in the city, where I’m from tryna live, gotta make it/ Make it out of the slum, yeah, it’s hard in the city. The city where I’m from, when you’re cold and all alone. You can build you a city and call it home, and when I was lost and on my own/ I got out of the city and made my own.

The album was preceded by singles like “Heaven,” which we saw a music video for just last week. The visual further embraced his career-spanning pink theme, as he enjoyed a blissful afternoon in a completely pink field. Another single was the aforementioned “At My Worst” record, which was so well loved that it had several remixes already before Kehlani hopped on, including the previously released Joel Corry Remix, Gustixa Remix, and the Nikhita Gandhi Remix.

Pink Sweat$ rose to popularity as one of the R&B artists to make sure to follow thanks to his breakthrough project Volume 1, as well as the hit single “Honesty,” and then the subsequent VOLUME 2, which earned him a “Best New Artist” nomination at last year’s Soul Train Awards. Afterwards, he followed those two EPs with a third titled The Prelude, which boasts seven tracks from the Philadelphia talent and his “17” single.
