Coming right on the heels of his exciting announcement of his major deal with Republic Records, KB Mike rides his high straight into the weekend with a brand new single. Tapping Luh Kel for the assist, KB releases his new single “Toxic Love” and treats fans by premiering the official music video as well. On the track, KB Mike croons the lyrics that fit the song title perfectly:

I know you’re tired of the arguing, saying that I’m lying to your face, let’s be honest/ Going through my phone seeing that I’m texting bitches, wish I listened/ We ain’t like we used to be

“All relationships have a little bit of toxic love,” KB Mike says about his inspiration behind the song. “It’s not a good thing but it’s something everyone goes through. The video shoot was epic, the storyline was perfect.” Furthermore, Luh Kel shared a bit about how the record came about and confirming the process was seamless. “Fame (Cinematic Music Management Senior Director) played me a few of KB’s songs and ‘Toxic Love’ stood out because the topic was something I was currently going through,” he shares with REVOLT. “I recorded my verse that same day in literally 10 minutes and we shot this fire video later that week.”

In Luh Kel-related news, he linked up with Trippie Redd to concoct their collab track “Feen,” which arrived with an accompanying music video as well. The R&B artist shared his two single pack “All In You” and “Want You” featuring Queen Naija before unleashing L.O.V.E. in its entirety back in October. The body of work boasted 14 tracks and included a remix of his “Wrong” song featuring Lil TJay. His last full-length project before that was Mixed Emotions, which was released in November of 2019.
