Over the weekend, rising star Audrey Nuna unleashed her latest project a liquid breakfast. To help her ring in the new accomplishment, she made sure to pair the release with a fresh new music video. The new “Top Again” visual features an assist from Saba and plays into her signature abstract theme she keeps across her creative endeavors. On the song, Saba makes sure to match the energy:
The multi-faceted facet, drip like a janitor, clean up/ We keep it hazardous, after all, we all destined to leave here/ We in the street like parade marches, we lost all our fears, I’m on the front with a fire, darling
Just talkin’ how the cash is green, goblin, guap or loot/ Virgin Mary, Guadalupe, you are not invited ‘cause you out the loop, opportune, timing’s everything, well I got a few (I got a few)/ Ah shit, if we gotta go, we gotta go
Audrey has risen to popularity because of her ability to deliver unique visuals, which she puts a high level of thought and intention into. So far, we’ve seen stellar videos for cuts like “Space” and “damn right.” Back in March of last year, REVOLT named rising rapper AUDREY NUNA as one of our “Women To Watch,” saying her raunchy and upbeat “Comic Sans” track “shows off her ability to change the tempo and mix genres in just two minutes.”
The new project is a body of work that represents the transitional phases of the young Jersey artist’s career. “a liquid breakfast is a sign of my adolescence,” she says via press release. “It’s the soundtrack of my move from the suburbs into the city back into the suburbs. I was a kid when I started writing it. I’m still a kid but there was definitely some Pika to Raichu action throughout the course of this project. I hope I stay a kid forever.”
