Earlier this year, DIXSON released DARLING, a soulful offering of seven tracks for fans of the multi-talent to enjoy. One of the EP’s standouts, the India Shawn-assisted “YOURS,” now sees a dope visual that matches the song’s passionate subject matter:

“Make you a believer, enter in the temple, I say a prayer with my body, you say goodbye to ego, treat me like an equal, steady with the tempo, nothing complicated, you make it all simple, your body tells me what i know about you, nobody knows my body like you do, just wanna know that you know i know, you know that my body is yours…/”

Directed by Michelle Parker, the clip mixes between shots of color and black and white, mainly centering around DIXSON and India Shawn displaying non-sexual signs of intimacy in what’s presumed to be Shawn’s residence. Viewers also see other men vying for Shawn’s attention throughout, which DIXSON being the clear victor for her heart.

Via press release, DIXSON further explained the concept behind DARLING, a self-described “open letter to women”:

“Each song on DARLING is a journey. They all move effortlessly, like the women the songs are about … The songs specifically about love, really come from a vulnerable place that I haven’t heard in a long time from a male R&B singer. Not saying that we ain’t out here showing a sensitive side sometimes, it’s just niggas be tryna be so cool with this R&B shit.”

In addition to “YOURS,” DIXSON also previously revealed a visual from the project for the racy cut “KREAM,” a dope flip of a Wu-Tang Clan classic that depicts him as the manager of a dry cleaners while different women flow throughout.
