This past weekend, Ghetts unveiled his latest body of work Conflict of Interest, which boasts 16 cuts with additional appearances from Dave, Wretch 32, Jaykae, Skepta, Ed Sheeran, Emeli Sandé, Stormzy, BackRoad Gee, Pa Salieu, and more. Following top-tier videos for “Mozambique,” “IC3,” “Skengman,” “No Mercy,” and “Proud Family,” the London emcee drops off a new clip for “Crud,” which features Giggs and sees the artists seemingly competing for who’s got the best bars — something that the duo have been doing on wax throughout their entire careers:

“Left the club drunk without the rum, knife work, man’s cutting out early, you don’t know nothing ‘bout certy, talk is cheap, anyone can outword me/

I’ll push man to the max, no mercy, ah, they keep talking ‘Game of Thrones,’ but if you look at the stats, I’m Cersei…/”

Teaming up with British media outfit GRM Daily, the visual for “Crud” is essentially a re-creation of that brand’s highly rated “Daily Duppy” freestyle series. Ghetts and Giggs roam through the yellow and black studio throughout, all while the song’s lyrics and matching graphics land across the screen. A literal goat can be seen at the end, a clear indication of the artists’ status in the rap game and music overall.

As he revealed on social media, Conflict of Interest is currently on course to be Ghetts’ first top five album on the UK Albums charts — it’s currently in the number three spot behind Mogwai’s As The Love Continues and Foo FightersMedicine At Midnight. Given that Ghetts’ LP is only separated from the peak position by a mere 1,800 album equivalent units, it’s very possible for him to achieve one of his greatest — and well-deserved — accomplishments to date.
