Cameron Newton isn’t here for any kind of disrespectful trolling, even if it’s from a young kid. In a video that surfaced on social media Sunday (Feb. 21), Newton defends himself against a youth football player.

The brief video shows the revered quarterback, who visited a youth football camp, attempting to hilariously shut down a kid who caught his attention when he referred to Newton as “ass” and followed up by repeatedly calling him a free agent. The New England Patriot would not let up on the teenaged troll. Every time the young player called him a free agent, Newton would fire back with a simple response.

“I’m rich,” Newton replied repeatedly. “Where’s yo daddy at? Let me talk to your dad.”

Newton is nowhere near “ass” when it comes to his NFL career. As a star quarterback at Auburn University, he won two BCS Championships with the Tigers and was named the 2010 Heisman Trophy winner. Once he entered the NFL, the former Panthers quarterback led the team to Super Bowl 50. He’s also earned numerous honors like becoming a NFL MVP, Rookie of the Year, All-Pro, and Pro Bowler.

Last year, Newton signed a one-year contract with the New England Patriots. Although he didn’t bring the team to the Super Bowl this year, the quarterback still has the option to remain on the team. If he doesn’t renew his contract, Newton will be a free agent. Even with his current future up in the air, fans of Newton didn’t appreciate the young football player’s interaction with Newton.

“We live in a world where a Heisman Trophy Winner, Former NFL MVP can be disrespected by a kid at his own Football Camp…smh Heaven help us all,” one Twitter user.
