Kodak Black is engaged. According to social media posts, the newly freed rapper popped the question to 19-year-old rapper Mellow Rackz, who also goes by Melody, in Florida on Thursday (Feb. 18).

Kodak got romantic for the occasion, as shown in an Instagram clip posted by Mellow. The 23-year-old hired a plane to fly overhead, which was pulling a banner that read: “Might as well marry me Melody. I love u.”

Mellow’s surprised reaction was caught on her Instagram Story. Later in a post, she confirmed that she accepted Kodak’s proposal.

“Mrs. Kapri. I said yes,” she captioned a series of shots of the couple cuddling together.

Earlier in the day, Kodak also hinted at the proposal on his Instagram Story, posting songs like “Let’s Get Married” by Jagged Edge and “Say Yes” by Lil Corey.

After the proposal, Mellow posted videos of her and Kodak rapping along to the lyrics of an unreleased song together, which Rap-Up reports is an upcoming collaboration.

Kodak has kept busy since being released from prison last month. Today (Feb. 19), he and Lil Yachty shared a video for their new single, “Hit Bout It.” The Florida native also recently launched a $100,000 college scholarship in honor of victims of the Parkland shooting. Kodak attended a memorial event for the three-year anniversary of the tragedy to announce the scholarship.

“They young and none of them ain’t deserve this. They wasn’t in this life to be killed like a thug,” he said during the event. “… I’m gonna help and I hope me setting up this scholarship will make a difference for something. I just want to make a positive impact for this community.”

This week, Kodak also continued to thank Former President Donald Trump, who commuted his sentence before leaving office. On “The Fat Joe Show,” the rapper showed off his new “Trump Ties” ring.
