Ludacris learned a valuable lesson after his Mercedes-Benz was stolen on Monday (Jan. 25).

According to 11Alive, the “What’s Your Fantasy” emcee left his car running as he made a stop at a local ATM machine in Atlanta. He flagged down nearby police and told them that he heard the vehicle speed away, but did not get a clear look at the suspect.

Officers were reportedly able to electronically track down the stolen car. “The vehicle was traced to an area off Lois Place in northwest Atlanta. Investigators were able to find property belonging to Ludacris at that location, but the vehicle, they said, was not there,” the outlet reports.

Authorities continued to track the automobile until it was found at an apartment complex in Midtown. There was no one inside the car and it was returned to Ludacris Monday night. According to police, almost 100 vehicles were stolen during the first week of January. More than 70 of those vehicles had the keys inside or were running.

Luda is currently in the process of bringing a new animated series to Netflix that is inspired by his oldest daughter, Karma. “Karma’s World” will be “a coming-of-age story about a young Black girl finding her voice and using it to change her world,” according to Deadline.

“I’ve had a lot of accomplishments in my life, but everything that I’ve experienced seems to have led up to this point to where I can leave a legacy for all my daughters,” the Fast & Furious actor said. “‘Karma’s World’ is one of those legacies. I hope this series will show kids that there are many ways to overcome difficult situations.”

The series, which will feature forty 11-minute episodes, will follow Karma’s journey as she tries to become a rapper. “This show is going to move hip hop culture forward and show young girls that they have the power to change the world,” Luda continued. “This project has been a long time in the making and I can’t wait to bring ‘Karma’s World’ to the entire world.”
