Boosie is livid that Corey “C-Murder” Miller was not issued a pardon from Former President Donald Trump.
On Wednesday (Jan. 20), the “Wipe Me Down” emcee took to Twitter to share his frustration with the incarcerated rapper’s absence from the list — although presidential pardons are only for federal crimes, not state ones. “Everybody can get a pardon but #cmurder #bullshit #innocentman 20 #years+,” he tweeted. “I’M PISSED THE FUCK OFF TODAY don’t wanna y’all to anybody today so don’t call THANKS.”
C-Murder has spent more than 20 years behind bars for a murder charge. He is currently serving a life sentence, but his case recently gained extra support and recognition from Kim Kardashian, who is working towards getting him released.
Kodak was currently incarcerated under a 46-month sentence for falsifying information on federal forms to buy four firearms from a Miami gun shop on two separate occasions. He was initially supposed to be locked up until 2022.
Following the news of his pardon, the “No Flockin’” emcee’s lawyer, who also represents Weezy, released a statement. “President Trump and his administration have been tireless advocates on behalf of the African-American community,” said Attorney Bradford Cohen. “These pardons (are) a perfect example of this administration following up on its reforms and commitments. Thank you to President Trump for his advocacy and dedication to justice reform.”
Last year, Lil Wayne was charged with possession of a firearm and ammunition as a felon after someone made an anonymous tip to the police. That led Miami cops and federal agents to search his private jet. Authorities reportedly found $26,000 in cash, a firearm, cocaine, ecstasy, marijuana, heroin, pain killers ad prescription-strength cough syrup. Wayne ultimately plead guilty to the charges and was facing 10 years in prison.
