Boosie Badazz is exercising his right to vote. The “Wipe Me Down” emcee got out to vote for the first time ever in Georgia’s Senate runoff election on Tuesday (Jan. 5).

The Louisiana native uploaded a video of himself going up to the polling site in his electric scooter. He also voiced his endorsement for Democratic Senate nominee, Rev. Raphael Warnock. “I’m looking for a change,” he said in the video. “If I’m voting, everybody needs to vote. I’ve been watching that runoff, I’m finna vote. That man finna change some shit. I’m telling y’all, I’m voting for Warnock.”

A local news station caught up with Boosie after he finished voting. He hopes that he can inspire others to do the same. “Well, this is my first time ever voting. I’ve been watching the runoffs and I just feel like me coming out here will inspire a lot of people to go vote,” he said. “And I feel like Warnock is going to do some things that’s on my mind heavy also. I feel like my vote will matter.”

The “Nasty Nasty” rapper continued, “I just want to see more of my African-American people coming out and voting. I’m looking out here and I don’t see a lot of that. I think more African-Americans need to come vote because we have it hard as a race and if we want to make change we gotta to vote.”

America is currently awaiting the election results. If Warnock and Jon Ossoff, who are both Democrats, win the race, the Senate will be 50-50 along party lines. Vice President-elect Kamala Harris will serve as a tie-breaker on any vote.

Tuesday afternoon, Former President Barack Obama urged Georgia citizens to get out to the polls. “Georgia, this is it,” he tweeted. “Today is Election Day and your vote can help elect @ReverendWarnock and Jon @Ossoff to the U.S. Senate. Make your voice heard today and vote—either in person or by dropping off your mail-in ballot at a ballot drop box.”
