D12’s Bizarre is currently in recovery mode after he was hospitalized for experiencing symptoms of a mini-stroke.

On Monday morning (Jan. 18), Bizarre’s manager used the veteran rapper’s Instagram account to give fans an update on his health. He uploaded a photo of Biz asleep in a hospital bed. There aren’t a lot of details about what happened prior to his trip to the hospital. However, in the caption, his manager confirmed that Bizarre suffered from a transient ischemic attack (TIA), which is a temporary period of symptoms similar to those of a stroke.

Rappers like Paul Wall, Buckwild, Lloyd Banks, and more sent their best wishes to the rapper. Just days before the incident, Bizarre appeared to be healthy while he was posted up in the studio. Prior to that, Bizarre had been posting videos of himself working out in a surgical mask. The intense focus on getting healthy stems from his previous issues with his weight. Back in 2019, Bizarre told Hip Hop DX about his struggles with his health.

“I was always a little guy who had asthma all the way up until I was like maybe 14,” Bizarre said. “Then I had a doctor had put me on steroids for the asthma. That kind of made me gain weight. But through my adult years, I’ve basically been through the same thing that you’ve been talking about up or down, you know what I’m saying? Doing good, lost 20 pounds. Then you relapse or give yourself a cheat day and your cheat day turns into three days and then two weeks. It’s like an ongoing battle, you know what I’m saying?”

Bizarre also appears to be working on some new music as well. At the end of the caption, Bizarre’s manager promised that his upcoming album Dumpster Juice will drop this year.
