J Stone has poured his heart into and unleashed his latest project The Definition of Pain. The project details his life’s trials and tribulations. On the Dave East-assisted “What’s Beef” track, Stone delivers a verse reflecting about his late brother, the legendary Nipsey Hussle:

Bases loaded like I’m trying to bring my bros home, and it’s my time to bat. I feel like the Loc is on his own, and when I sleep I feel like I gotta hold my chrome. Rest in peace to Nip, I’m feeling like they did my homie wrong. Damn, that’s some shit I never fathomed. Feel like yesterday, we was dipping in that Phantom. Now I’m laying flowers at ya gravesite. Lighting candles. They say God wouldn’t put nothing on you, you could handle. Got my chin up and my chest out. For a long time I felt like I was left out.

As far as visuals from the project go, J Stone recently linked up with E-40 to shoot and share the music video for their collab track “Hella Toasted.” This year saw the release of two J Stone projects, The Definition of Pain and Ground Zero. The new project is equipped with 18 tracks in total and boasts features from impressive and respected names like the late great Nipsey Hussle, T.I., Dom Kennedy, T-Pain, Mike D’Angelo, Dave East, and more. Ground Zero is a collaboration project with Pacman da Gunman. Prior to those two projects was 2019’s The Definition of Loyalty. J Stone also recently confirmed in a new interview with The Bootleg Kev Podcast that a posthumous Nipsey Hussle is definitely happening at some point.
