Two coasts linked up for the making of the “Outside” music video, as Westside Boogie taps Joey Bada$$ for the assist. Directed by Shomi Patwary, the visual sees the two cruising around in the city while Boogie delivers his verse, which even makes a few Em references along the way:

I been wantin’ the smoke when my auntie was on dope. Got a bed that’s full of bodies, got a closet full of ghosts. I’m cool with rappers, n****s actin’ like we close. Shit, I’m the greatest on the coast and n****s thought I knew the Pope. Blessed me with the hands that’s catchin’ all these n****s’ fans. Posed to be your mans, damn, my n***a, you got scammed. Funny that I’m standin’ with the dude who made stan. But never treat me like the fan, ‘cause what I am, what I am. Whatever you say I am, shit, if I was interested. Why would I say I am shit?

Boogie initially garnered buzz for himself through his mixtapes Thirst 48, The Reach, and Thirst 42, Pt. 2, the last of which boasted well-loved cuts like “No Way,” “N***a Needs,” and “Won’t Be The Same” with Ayo The Producer. He eventually signed with Eminem’s Shady Records in 2017. Westside Boogie later on revealed his official debut LP Everythings For Sale, which saw 13 tracks and additional appearances from JID, Eminem, 6LACK, Snoh Aalegra, and more. Since then, he has appeared on songs from his peers, including Jay Worthy’s “Bellin,” Reason’s “Trapped In,” SiR’s “Rapper Weed,” and Courtney Bell’s “Lion’s Den,” and also he’s released some freestyle tracks like “Fade” and “Expose Me.”

In terms of Joey Bada$$-related news, he was recently featured on Statik Selektah’s “Keep It Moving” alongside Gary Clark Jr. and Nas. He also dropped off his 3-track package titled The Light Pack back in July
