At this point, anything that comes from the Diplomats collective is going to be unforgettable at the very least. This week, Cam’ron, Juelz Santana, and Jim Jones connected with KITH for their collaboration with Nike and the New York Knicks, which will include a City Edition uniform that the NBA team will where throughout the new season. Added to the collection rollout, fans also get a freestyle from the Harlem veterans, which they deliver to the viewer live from Madison Square Garden — and it’s arguable some of their best bars to date, proving that they haven’t slowed down from a lyrical standpoint:

“Pardon me if I get emotional, I’m on the same court where I was on the verge of scoring 30, you see that net right there? That basket did me dirty, ‘92 championship buzzer beater, that rim curved me/

NBA? Now I’m above the rim, I turned right into Birdie, you hear that Nutso? If I ain’t on the stage, you better believe baby girl, I’m front row…/”

Collectively, it’s been a couple of years since we received Dipset’s last body of work, their third studio album Diplomatic Ties. That project saw nine cuts and additional features from Tory Lanez, The LOX, Belly, and Trav. More recently, Jim Jones unveiled the deluxe edition of his 2019 release El Capo, which added on 15 dope cuts and some assists from Juelz Santana, Vado, Dave East, Fred The Godson, Marc Scibilia, and more. Last year also saw Cam’ron’s Purple Haze 2, the well-received sequel to 2004’s Purple Haze. Meanwhile, Juelz Santana celebrated his freedom from prison this past August — he also released his #FREESANTANA mixtape in March prior to his release.

Press play on Dipset’s New York Knicks freestyle below. If anything, this should certainly increase demand for a new album.
